Yes Bank Thursday has named Korn Ferry, a US-based headhunter, to assist a group of experts looking for a successor to Rana Kapoor, outgoing director and executive director.
The bank has invited four leading global banking and financial advisory firms to assist its five-member expert panel in appointing a new chief executive officer.
Kapoor, founder and promoter of the bank, was invited by the Reserve Bank to retire after January 2019.
Based on the assessments and presentations of these international consulting firms, the search and selection committee tasked Korn Ferry with helping her evaluate the candidates, Yes Bank said in a statement.
The Research and Selection Committee is headed by Independent Director Brahm Dutt.
Lieutenant-General Mukesh Sabharwal (Retired), Independent Director, Subhash Chander Kalia, Non-Independent Non-Executive Director, T S Vijayan, Former Chairman of IRDAI and LIC, and O P Bhatt, Former Chairman of SBI Board.
All members of the research group were present at Thursday's meeting to engage the headhunter.
The other three companies invited by the bank were Egon Zender, Spencer Stuart and Heidrick & Struggle. However, Egon Zender did not participate in the presentation.
