Jack Dorsey, CEO and co-founder of the Twitter social media platform, is on his first trip to India and is ready to "experience" all of this.
On a Twitter message, Mr. Dorsey said, "Hello, India, it's the first time I come here after a lifetime of desire to live it." It is expected that he will organize a meeting with university students at IIT New Delhi on November 12th.
Upon his arrival, Mr. Dorsey made his first visit Saturday to the Dalai Lama, spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism. In an article on Twitter, he praised the Buddhist preacher as an "extraordinary teacher".
Last June, Twitter announced the creation of a new management structure, with the goal of creating a "stronger customer-centric approach and team dynamics". Of the 10 new divisions – Technology, Engineering, Product, Revenue Product, Design and Research, Customers, Personnel and Marketing, Finance, Consulting, two of them are led by executives of Indian origin. Parag Agarwal, a former IIT Bombay, head of technology and Vijaya Gadde for the council.
