Snapchat is testing new features (that Instagram has had for months)

Snapchat has clearly lagged behind Instagram in terms of user growth. In order to catch up, the application tests many features such as a timer, a camera grid and portrait mode.

The discovery comes from application researcher Jane Manchun Wong, who took on Twitter share screenshots of new features.

Portrait photos are in vogue and Snapchat users will surely want to have this feature in the app as soon as possible. Wong posted a tweet that shows the user interface of Snapchat's design camera to place these features on the right side. Instagram introduced this feature in April with "Focus Mode", which makes Snapchat clearly lag behind its inclusion in the app.

In addition to that, Snapchat can also introduce "batch capture" that allows you to take and publish multiple stories at once. After clicking on a photo, press the "+" button to add another one. This can be useful if you want to publish multiple photos in a story or group.

The company is working on another feature called "Charms" to define your friendship with someone. Depending on the screenshot displayed below, you can assign a charm such as "Birthday Twins" to a group to indicate that your birthdays are within seven days of each other. .

As with other features still being tested, it is not possible to say when they will be routed to the main Snapchat application. Stay tuned for updates.
