CM Vijayan launches massive anti-CAA stir

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will launch a massive protest meeting against recent Union government legislation, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), in the city on January 10 at 5 p.m. The meeting, in which more than one lakh will participate, will be organized by the Constitutional Protection Committee. The meeting aims to bring together ordinary citizens, cultural leaders, leaders of community organizations and political parties to express their protest against the law.

In addition to the secretary of the CPI, Kanam Rajendran, and the ministers K.T. Jaleel and Ramchandran Kadannappally, Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musliyar, Secretary General of the All India Muslim Scholars Association, PCN Leader T.P. Peethambaran and former Minister Mathew T. Thomas will speak at the meeting.

Critic M.K. Sanoo is the chairman of the Constitutional Protection Committee while the organizers include poet Balachandran Chullikkad and filmmakers Rajeev Ravi and Aashiq Abu.
